Its was a fun 3 days, no complaints here, I got to pick one of my favorite fashion models to work with, Michelle McNamee, Michelle is just a true professional, I think that paying for a professional like her actually saves time and money, provided that we had everything else right it was a no brainer, all I had to do in the end was point the camera at her, (ahhh I wish it was that simple) almost
, I was also fortunate enough to have another amazing team member on board for the shoot, Michelle Da Costa, WOW, that pretty much sums her up, WOW, amazing, talk about knowing her stuff, cant wait to work with her again, a lot can be said for having the right people on the job, Michelle’s hair & makeup was flawless, so many changes and so effortlessly done, the whole process went like clockwork. We had close to 300 garments to photograph, different hair, makeup and accessories for the majority of them as well, “we did it easy”
The main worry for my client was to be able to capture and reproduce all the garments in true color as you would see them, great lengths had to be taken to ensure this, white balance was set and double checked as we went as well as grey carding every set up for any needed color correction, I think this is most important for fashion photography, especially for catalogue work, it just has to be right.
Day 1 we spent at Zuri nightclub, I was working mostly with a 3-4 light set up, love that place, so rich
Day 2-3 I set up a mobile studio at the clients warehouse (yes I can set up anywhere)
